Who Am I?

Hi, I’m Brandi McMichael, formerly Shigley—new name, same Brandi.

Designer. Dreamer. Doer.
Rooted in faith. Driven by purpose.

From being abandoned at birth in the Philippines…
to building a life of creativity, community, and calling in Denver—
my journey has been a wild concoction of fun, love, heard times, and adventure!

I married Patrick—my sidekick and our neighborhood’s architect-extraordinaire—, and together we’re crafting a life that reflects love, hope, and a little bit of holy mischief.

In 1999, I made my first handbag with my business b.shigley designs.
That small act sparked a life of fashion, storytelling, and bringing ideas to life—whether on the runway, at community events, or across kitchen tables with people chasing their dreams.

I founded Fashion Denver to lift up local designers.
Now, 21 years later, it’s still going strong—with a fresh wind of purpose behind it.
