Hi, I’m Brandi McMichael (formerly Shigley). My story is one of second chances, creative leaps, and a faith that’s guided me from my beginnings in the Philippines to a purpose-filled life in Denver. Adopted at 16 months old, I grew up with a deep sense of hope, belonging, and resilience — threads that have shaped everything I do.
My creative journey began in 1999 when I stitched my first handbag, sparking a global adventure that led to boutiques worldwide and even the Paris Opera. That passion grew into Fashion Denver, a hub I founded to champion local designers — now thriving 21 years later. Along the way, I’ve received recognition like 5280 Magazine’s Top Up-and-Comer and Westword’s Mastermind Award, but my greatest joy has always been seeing creativity bring people together.
For more than two decades, I’ve helped dreamers become doers through small-business consulting, branding, and hands-on creative development — sitting across kitchen tables, small studios, and backstage at community events, helping people bring their ideas to life.
I married Patrick, the local architect and my favorite sidekick, and together we’re bringing hope, joy, and neighborly love to our little corner of Denver.
Giving back has always been part of my heartbeat — from clothing drives and clean water projects in my birth country to emceeing nonprofit events. I believe creativity shines brightest when it serves a greater purpose, and my faith continually calls me to be a bridge of hope.
Today, I pour my energy into the work that inspires me: producing CreativeMornings/Denver, uplifting designers through Fashion Denver, and serving on the Ballpark RNO board to help shape our neighborhood’s future.
If I’ve learned anything, it’s this: with faith, love, and a whole lot of creativity, we can build something truly beautiful. Let’s dream big — and bring it to life.
